C1 – WORKSHOP ON 3D PRINTING IN SMART PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

The first training activity implemented through the TecHUB 4.0 Erasmus+ project is a short term joint staff training event which took place at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. Two staff members from POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest participated at the event for three days, between 1st and 3rd of April. Delivered as an interactive Workshop on 3D Printing in Smart Product Design and Development, the C1 training activity reunited a total of 35 people, two from UPB and 33 from LU. The 33 LU participants were chosen to represent specific interested stakeholders: full academic member staff, researchers, undergraduate, masters’ and PhD students and SME representatives. Focusing on the project aim, all participants currently activate in domains managed by the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Management School.

Training activities focused on project based learning in designing and developing of smart products, best practice examples from the additive manufacturing industry and case studies in main additive technologies.
